FAQ's

Absolutely! Vaping offers an excellent alternative to smoking and is proven to be an effective way to quit for good. By making the switch to e-cigarettes you will find that they have many other benefits too:

  • Much cheaper than traditional cigarettes with savings of up to 75%
  • 95% less harmful than smoking cigarettes
  • No tar or carbon monoxide, or any of the other 4,000 toxins found in tobacco smoke
  • Satisfies nicotine cravings without the nasty side effects of smoke
  • No unpleasant odours or tobacco smells
  • Wide range of flavours to choose from
  • Legal to use in public - not included in the UK smoking ban

There are many types of e-cigarette on the market today, however they all have the same aim. To simulate the experience of smoking but without any burning or smoke. E-liquid is passed onto an atomiser, the atomiser is then heated by the battery and in turn the e-liquid is turned into a flavoured vapour. This is inhaled through the mouthpiece. Most E-liquids contain nicotine although some are available with zero nicotine too.

We have estimated switching to vaping from smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes, you can save as much as £2,000 a year depending on your personal usage.

The main ingredients of e-liquid are propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG) both of which are used in a wide variety of everyday food products. Flavouring, purified water and nicotine are added, at varying strengths. All of the E-Liquids we stock are tested to the highest standards and are compliant and produced by premium manfacturers. All e-Liquids that contain nicotine in the UK have to be notified to the MRHA and cannot be sold unless they are approved.

If you need advice regarding the nicotine strengths please contact us before you order. As a general guide:

  • 3mg=Very Low
  • 6mg=Low
  • 12mg=Medium
  • 18mg=Medium-Strong
  • 20mg=Strong

Nicotine is an addictive stimulant, similar to caffeine, and is not known to cause cancer. Although Nicotine carries other possible health risks, without the tobacco smoke it is a relatively low risk.

It’s not smoke that is released, it's vapour which is mixed with the nicotine contained within the e-liquid of the e-cigarette. The vapour gives a sensation very similar to a real cigarette.

When you inhale and no flavour or vapour comes out then it is likely that the atomiser coil needs to be changed. On average an atomiser coil will last approximately 1-3 weeks of normal use depending on the amount you vape and how hard you draw. To get more out of your atomiser keep your liquid topped up to avoid dry burning. The lifespan of an atomiser coil can also be dependant on what type of e-liquid or flavour you use. Some sweeter flavours can burn the atomiser coil out faster than those that aren't so sweet.

In theory there are currently no legislative bans on vaping in public. However, it is always advisable to ask for permission first. Unlike normal cigarettes, e-cigarettes do not contain any of the harmful substances. No actual smoke is produced by an e-cigarette, just vapour therefore, you can use e-cigarettes even in places that have banned smoking! Be considerate to others around you when vaping, particularly if you use a sub-ohm device which produces clouds of vapour.
